The stream on this page is scripted so the whole cycle is visible
anywhere the page is hosted: stock updates arrive every couple of
seconds, then the stream deliberately drops (the banner above),
then it reconnects and a catch-up fetch restores canonical rows.
In production the same query points at a real
text/event-stream endpoint and nothing else changes.
Existing rows are never cleared by a stream failure.
